Bathroom Decor, Give Your Bathroom A New Look

Part 2  Change the look of your bathroom through SHOWER CURTAINS

A very inexpensive, yet dramatic way to change the look of your bathroom is through SHOWER CURTAINS.

Go to Target, Walmart, or your other store of choice , you may want to preview their selections online before going to make your purchase.

This design plan uses shower curtains (more than one) as the main element of decoration transformation, so it is very important to find just the right shower curtain design that communicates the message you want to send and reflects your personality. One of the shower curtains will obviously be used as a curtain. The other will be cut and used in different elements of design throughout the bathroom. (More on that later).
When choosing the right design it is best if you avoid large, floral designs or any other type of large pattern. Stripes or shower curtains with one solid, bright color are great choices. It is also important with this design idea to buy one that is made out of fabric. The fabric curtains usually look nicer, are easier for other decorating purposes, and can easily be thrown into the washing machine whenever they need to be freshened up. My personal favorite that I have in my bathroom is a fabric shower curtain with multiple colored stripes, and the colors are very bold and eye-catching – it is the first thing you notice when you walk in the room.

1. Purchase 2 identical shower curtains that are just right for you and your new bathroom design.

2. Hang up the first shower curtain – now you can take a shower again without getting the floor wet, and it will serve as your object of inspiration for the rest of the design!

3. The second shower curtain will be cut up and used as background or matting for picture frames. Pick out the pictures that you would like to go on your bathroom wall. The design and color of your new bathroom decor will determine the type of pictures you want to display, but generally pictures of family and friends having fun (ie, at the beach) are great pictures to hang on the bathroom wall. It’s good to hang pictures of family and friends next to the vanity mirror so that their smiling faces are one of the first things you see in the mornings.
