1. Choose the style you like. When you preparing for design your dining room, style was by far the first point that came up amongst us all. This doesn’t mean that you should get crazy about things. Rather, it means that you should know what you like, your specific style, and try to apply it in everything that you do. So while some people prefer more traditional styles, such as Amish oak furniture, others like a more contemporary look. You should put your own style into your furniture and house at every chance.  

2. Color ideas in dining room. Even after choosing your preferred style, you should be careful that you don’t have too much mismatching of color. You don’t want a dark wooden dining room table and a very light finish dining room hutch next to it. Likewise, avoid too many loud colors at once if you’re more of a contemporary minded person, such as bright red, pink, and green. Each of these colors can have their place-but not all at once. You can mix, yes, but be sure to match.

3. Awareness of Space: I spoke of the use of space in a previous article, but a few more points are always useful. Awareness means understanding how the space within your house flows. Is it open, curved, closed, straight, wide, narrow? Being aware of the space means that you will also be able to use it correctly when it comes to design – whether in the dining room or anywhere else, such as the in kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms.

4. The Harmony of Arrangement: Harmony is in everything, from day to night, to musical harmony, to the colors of the rainbow in the sky. So too with arrangement you should seek to make things harmonious in your house. Be aware that this doesn’t mean everything should be in a certain order. A disharmonious-harmony can be more suited to your style, but if you like that, be sure to be consistent. If you prefer things just slightly off, make sure everything is similarly done. The end effect will be fantastic.

5. Making things Complemen. If you think you need to buy or add new furniture, such as a small table, or an entire dining room set, then make sure that what you buy complements the other pieces that you already have. This factor also applies in the opposite direction. If, after arranging all the pieces within your house you find that a single piece just doesn’t seem to fit, such as that awkward looking side table, then consider removing it altogether, or if you want to keep it, trying putting it somewhere else.
