The bed had been fitted with a patchwork pinwheel quilt and is adorned with whimsical needlepoint pillows featuring various dog breeds.

An antique quilt rests on an aged blanket chest; and old ticking fabric covers the lampshade; netting forms a delicate canopy on the 19th-century mahogany American bed and gossamer curtains from Pine Cone Hill are at the windows.
