This multi-generational gable house plan is essentially two houses in one, offering attached accommodations while maintaining a sense of privacy. Designed by BUB Archtekten, this German home features an east and west gable, one occupied by the parents, and the other by the children and their children. Between the two volumes is a common area connecting the two, with fantastic panoramic views of the countryside. The Multi-Generational Home has a clean and contemporary style, with a minimalist interior punctuated by modern details like vibrant colors contrasting natural elements like stone and wood. The original structure, with rooms for staff, a double hall and long hallways with lots of doors has been transformed into a spacious, transparent dwelling full of light and air.
